BISS CH. Banstock Bruno of the NorthEast

For as long as Michael and I have been married (32 yrs),

we have owned and loved dogs. Along with our two sons

Michael and Jason, our dogs were also our babies. My

husband saysthat my family priorities are, "Boys, Dogs,

Husband". Each of our pets will always have a special place

in our hearts that they filled through companionship,

loyalty, and love.

The first Bullmastiff we had the luxury and honor of being a

part of our family was a spectacular male Bullmastiff named

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Jasinski of the NorthEast.  From

our experiences with Wolfgang, my husband and I fell in

love with the breed. So when Wolfgang sadly passed, we

knew we had to get another bullie.  I contacted Helene

Nietsch of Banstock Bullmastiffs and she sold us our Bruno 

as a pet puppy.

My husband has a good eye for dogs and Bruno was his pick

of the litter. Nobody knew he was going to become one of

the top ten Bullmastiffs in the country. Helene asked us if

he did turn out to be a show quality dog, if we would be

interested in showing him. You can guess our answer to

that.

We started taking Bruno to obedience class. Helene was at

the show class and Bruno caught her attention. We started

showing him at 9 months and immediately he was winning.

Since then he has accomplished so much. He never really

was shown as much as some of the other famous dogs and

now we are more selective than ever about when and

where he is shown. He has proven himself time and time

again and now just participates for the pleasure of it. He

really does love to be in the ring. We can not deny that.

Like most stories that are worth telling, we have had a lot

of help from some great people. A few that should be

mentioned are Bruno's handlers. Linda Barberich, who

showed him to his championship and Kent McFarland, who

showed him as a special entry. Also, thanks to the

McGoverns for support they gave Bruno during the two  

years they co-owned him with us. There are others and you

know who you are.
